I have been acquainted with the work of LRM Performace for years now and have been lucky to photograph their oeuvre. Through all this time I have seen them work tirelessly, pouring their talent and creativity into each new project. They are persevering artists, generous and honest with their work and with the audience.
They always managed to spawn a strange and different world, but in their latest work they have outdone themselves. Memory Root Light is a complex work which intoxicates the senses and leaves us exposed to their huge originality. They mix sound, light, and body with endless materials and structures that allow us to intuit long months of toil behind this new work.
Before our eyes develop different scenes, harsh and evocative, abstract and subtle. There are as many possible narrative explanations for what unfolds on stage as spectators.
Strange beings relate themselves in an arid and seemingly distant world, with post-apocalyptic brushstrokes. Into it all human emotions from struggle, fear and violence to tenderness and love have a place, all expressed without the help of the word, only through gesture and the support of lights and sound.
As a photographer it is always a pleasure and a challenge to try to capture in images all their complex universe, seizing shapes and colors. But there is much more to it escaping the lens, because Memory Root Light is an experience for all senses you have to get involved into live and closely, watching them create music and movement and allowing yourself to be carried away by all the sensations they convey.

Hace años que conozco el trabajo de LRM Performace y que tengo la suerte de fotografiar sus espectáculos. A lo largo de este tiempo he visto como han trabajado sin descanso, volcando su talento y creatividad en cada nuevo proyecto. Son artistas perseverantes, generosos y honestos con su obra y con el espectador.
Siempre consiguen hacer surgir un mundo extraño y diferente, pero en su último espectáculo se han superado a ellos mismos. Memory Root Light es obra compleja que embriaga los sentidos y nos deja desnudos ante su enorme originalidad. Mezclan el sonido, la luz, y el cuerpo con un sinfín de materiales y estructuras, que nos dejan intuir los largos meses de trabajo que hay detrás de este nuevo montaje. Ante nuestros ojos se van desarrollando distintas escenas, duras y evocadoras, abstractas y sutiles. Hay tantas explicaciones narrativas posibles para lo que se desarrolla en el escenario como espectadores. Seres extraños se relacionan entre
sí en un mundo árido y en apariencia lejano, de pinceladas postapocalípticas. En él tienen cabida todas la emociones humanas, desde la lucha, el miedo y la violencia, hasta la ternura y el amor, expresadas todas ellas sin la ayuda de la palabra, solo a través del gesto con el apoyo de las luces y el sonido.
Como fotógrafa es siempre un placer y un reto intentar plasmar en imágenes todo su complejo universo, captando formas y colores. Pero hay mucho más que se escapa al objetivo, porque Memory Root Light es una experiencia para todos los sentidos que hay que vivir en directo, cerca de ellos, viéndoles crear música y movimiento, y dejándonos llevar por todas las sensaciones que nos logran transmitir.
